The original paint was tired and worn. With the help of our generous volunteers, the building was prepared for painting and signs and displays were removed.
A large donation from the Lindstrand family gave us the opportunity to have the Main Museum painted. The new paint is bright and fresh. The building looks new and inviting.
The stucco was coming apart and was missing in some places.
A generous grant from the Redding Rancheria, Shasta Regional Community Foundation for $1,500.00 allowed us to do the repairs needed on the stucco wall and paint the entire building.
The doors looked especially shabby. The outside tool display and sign had to be removed by volunteers before painting.
The outside tool display and sign were replaced in record time after painting was finished. The change in the doors is dramatic.
The West Building will be painted after some repairs are done and as soon as weather permits.
Eagerly awaiting the new look!
