Shingletown Historical Society News

July 2023 News

Shingletown Historical Society membership renewal letters and updated calendars are in the mail.

SHS appreciates your membership and encourages you to participate in the activities.

We do not have History Alive! in July and August, but do have a couple of potlucks scheduled in the near future. The Ole Timers Potluck on July 9 was well attended and enjoyed by all. Thanks to all of you who attended and brought delicious food to share.

We are still hoping some of you will find the time to spend as a docent on one of the Saturdays over the summer. Saturdays - 11am — 3 pm. We always place a new docent with a seasoned one. Meanwhile, thanks again to Rynee and Mike for opening the main museum when the Thrift and Gift Shop is open. This continues to be a success, but we also need to share the other two museums, so your time would be appreciated. Call Beverly 474-5110.

Planning for Founders Day on August 12 is progressing. Nancy is in charge of children’s activities at the Outdoor Museum. Please contact her if you can help 474-1476.

Glenda and Linda are the chairs for the Yard Sale on August 12.

Volunteers are in the museum office most Tuesday, 10-12. 474-3291

HAVE A GREAT SUMMER!
